G418 evopure is really better than normal g418 or geneticin?
Commercial G418 is only 60 to 93%, the main impurities are Gentamycin X2, A, C1 and C2. The different batches has different impurity profile and the cell line toxicity is different. You have to re-optimize the concentation for selection for each batch you order. G418 Evopure is greater than 99.8% pure, you can use the same concentration each time because the toxcicity is consistantly low to resistant cells.
