FS2004 crashes upon loading a flight starting at KIAD. Whats wrong?
Unfortunately, our KIAD scenery and the freeware KBWI (Baltimore/Washington Intl.) scenery by Mathew Perry and Joshua Broadwater interfere with each other. The interference causes the simulator to crash when the start location for the default flight (loaded when the simulator starts) is KIAD. We have experienced no crashes when the default flight starts at another airport and then you move your aircraft to KIAD. We have done all we can do to avoid the interference by limiting the area covered by our scenery (i.e. Exclude file, terrain texture and AFCAD) to the immediate vicinity of KIAD. The problem remains. Although certainly not ideal, we suggest never using KIAD as the default starting location if you wish to use both sceneries simultaneously.
