From what you have seen so far, are there any major differences between Serie A and international football?
How will you pass your spare time during the tournament? There will be a video games area available, for example. It’s not really my thing, but I’ll have the odd go. We’ll meet up and some of us will play cards, some the video games, others will just have a chat. It’s a good group, and we get on well together, as we’ve shown during recent get-togethers. There’s very little to choose between the leading nations and you’ll see that the way the players gel will make all the difference. Who will you be sharing a room with? I don’t know yet, obviously, but recently I’ve been sharing with Cristian Zaccardo, who’s from Modena, like me. He was a team-mate at Palermo, so we’ve roomed together since he was first selected. When you mention Palermo and international football in the same breath, an important goal springs to mind. We lost to Iceland in a friendly on my debut but then a 2-1 win against Norway in Palermo put a stop to all the controversy and enabled us to make a good start on the road
