Some companies provide cheaper unlimited phone call service from other countries to North America phone. Below is how it works from end user perspective. Does anyone know how it works from technological/implementation perspective? a) When customer sign up for the service with such a service provider. b) At sign up customer selects a city in the source country (from where calls will be made) e.g., Pakistan. c) Customer is given a dedicated new phone number for selected country (i.e., Pakistani phone number) c) Customer gives his phone number in North America to the provider. c) Pakistani phone number is forwarded to customer’s North America number. d) Customer’s relatives/friends call the local Pakistani number and it rings to North American phone number.
