Before entering Ashwood School, students will need to be assessed by a qualified educational psychologist to assess eligibility and program directions. We can arrange for this or it can be arranged through your local school. Types of Enrolment Students can attend Ashwood School full or part time. Many students commence part time enrolment at Ashwood as a precursor to full time enrolment at a later stage. Conversely, some younger students who attend Ashwood full time are encouraged to attend mainstream schools on a part time basis in preparation for full integration. Ashwood will always advise and counsel parents on the correct placement for their child whether it be dual enrolment or full time admission to a primary, secondary or alternative specialist setting. Making the Transition Many parents and students find it easier to start at our school if they are able to attend on some designated days before the new year or new term starts.
