• Trash collection • Recycling • Bulk collection • A reduced rate for homeowners who want to haul their own waste to the landfill themselves Through the RFP process the Town selected Right Away Disposal (RAD) to provide community-wide, curbside trash and recycling collection services. Services are anticipated to begin in September 2010. Since the Town of Queen Creek’s incorporation in 1989, trash collection has been provided by private firms through contracts with individual homeowners or homeowner associations. It has not been a public service provided by the Town. The Town began considering providing solid waste services with the closure of the Queen Creek landfill in May 2007 because many area residents within and outside the Town’s incorporated boundaries questioned what services would be available. In Sept. 2007 the Town Council approved a professional services agreement with R.W. Beck for preparation of a solid waste study. R.W. Beck, in coordination with a Solid Waste Task Force
