Frequently Asked Questions Q: What time can media come to the Zoo to cover a story / event?
For all media stories, a media alert will be sent with specific times and gate information to all local media outlets. If a reporter would like to cover a specific topic, requests must go through the Public Relations Coordinator. Please contact the office between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, to schedule an appointment. When looking to interview keepers and/or staff members, or to get photos of animals, please keep in mind that most employees work from 7:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Special arrangements for weekends and before/after hours can be made.
