Forgotten the pill – what now?
If you realise within 12 hours that you have forgotten to take a pill, you can simply take it with a delay. You will still have sufficient contraceptive protection. If more than 12 hours have passed since you forgot to take your pill, take the pill you have forgotten immediately and then continue taking the pills in the strip quite normally up to the end. For the next seven days you will have to use an additional means of contraception, such as condoms (seven day rule). If these seven days extend into your pill break, do not take a pause but start taking the next strip of pills immediately. In this case the usual withdrawal bleeding will only occur when you have used up the second strip of pills.
