if you have XPhome, its easy – log in as administrator and change the password of the acct that you’re interested in (tap F8 as its booting, select “safe mode” at boot options menu… etc) if its XPpro – you’ve got more problems!

In the log in window press Ctrl+Alt+Del twice in succession- you will be getting administrator log on window and probably ( if you are lucky ) there won’t be the requirement of a password . so log in as administrator and remove password of your account. Re-log in to your account and set the password of your liking. And for your info to change the above password either you go to ‘ Control panel-users account’ or Right click on My computer- manage- Local users and groups- users. If this is your computer then all the best , if you try to open others then god save them.
