Forecast values displayed on the map are colored. Why?
A. We made the decision to display the numerical values using a color gradient. For example, the hottest temperatures would be listed in red and the coldest in blue. By taking this approach, not only can you see the actual values, but you can see the colors associated with it to show a range of colors as the values change. Usually this is not noticeable over short distances, but as terrain such as mountains and valleys are displayed, the colors become a visually aid that enhances interpretation of the data.
