For Topic 1, can funds be used to evaluate a physical activity-related program?
No. The distinction is between physical activity-related programs and physical activity-related policies. We are looking for policy or environmental interventions with potential to create relatively permanent change. A program that increases physical activity may not be of interest to us; but if there is a policy that institutionalizes the program, then it becomes a policy and is of interest. Applicants must demonstrate the intervention approach is an environmental or policy change.
