For the Census Labour Market Profile table, two different employment rates are given. Why?

0

Two types of questions are asked on the Census form. Those questions pertaining to work activity in the week prior to Census (the May reference week) and those questions pertaining to work activity in the previous year. The Employment rate – 2005 is for the entire year 2005 while the other employment rate listed under the heading Labour Force Activity – May 2006 is based on the week prior to Census (the May reference week).
