For Standalone, how do I turn on the “stereo mix” audio source in Windows Vista / Windows 7?
The “stereo mix” audio source is hidden by default in Windows Vista and Windows 7. Please follow the steps below in order to enable this audio channel within Windows Vista: • Select “Sound” from the Control Panel. • Select the “Recording” tab. • Right click on the background of the tab and choose “show disabled devices”. • Select the “Stereo Mix” or similar recording device and click “Properties”. • Within the “General Properties” tab, select “Use this device (enable)”. After completing the above steps, you should be able to use your “stereo mix” audio source within G-Force Standalone and V-Bar applications (same as within Windows XP). Please note that you may also need to increase the “Sound Preamp Scale” and/or “Sound Response Scale” within G-Force prior to seeing noticeable reactivity. Note also that Windows 7 ships with generic audio drivers which may restrict access to the “stereo mix” audio source. If you encounter this restriction, please try downloading and installing the speci
