Cliff does he is a licensed private pilot with both fixed and rotor wing ratings in other words he can fly regular airplanes and helicopters. He usually uses a helicopter to take photos and has a safety pilot on board to help him when he is circling the area so Cliff can take the photos, once done with the taking pictures, Cliff will take control of the aircraft and move to the next location.
