For how many steps of shutter speed does the Image Stabilizer compensate?
The effect of the Image Stabilizer is equivalent to up to five shutter speed steps, according to Olympus’ testing conditions. The value varies depending on the lens and shooting conditions. For example, when you shoot with shutter speed 1/15 the Image Stabilizer compensates for camera shake equivalent to 1/500. Note: Image Stabilization may not be possible at very low shutter speeds or when the camera is severely shaken.
