For general information about Usenet News, see H6: USENET Newsgroups and for some general notes on posting articles see FAQ: How can I post an article to a local newsgroup?
This FAQ describes how to use Thunderbird on a PWF computer to post to newsgroups (most of it also applies to Thunderbird on other suitably configured systems). In order to post an article to a newsgroup using Thunderbird, you need first to “subscribe” to the newsgroup (which need only ever be done once), and then to construct and send your article.
