The instructor can insert comments within a student’s essay by typing inside the answer textbox and enclosing his input with either of the following tags: Instructor’s Comments or Instructor’s Comments This is further illustrated in the picture below, taken from a submitted paper at “Submitted Work” page. As shown in the picture below, when submitted, the above entries into the “Annotate Answer” textbox by the instructor have these effects: • • creates red annotation and in superscript style • makes the annotation red and italic. For an even easier way to annotate a student’s work without messing around with html code, you can use the online WYSIWYG HTML editor — the hyperlink to this tool is displayed on every page. • Copy the text from the “Answer” area. • Paste it in the editor and add your comments to it. • Next click the “Get Source Code” in the editor and a popup window will supply the html code of the annotated answer.
