For Christians,does the great falling away(apostasy) from the true path already happened or not yet happened?
The falling away, (apostasia of II Thessalonians2:3) I believe is already underway in measure for perhaps 200 years and has been accelerating as we grow closer to the end. I think we will see this in wide manifestation before the Lord’s imminent return, but in fact we have seen it in other nations, such as the Soviet Union, Communist China and other places where Christians have been persecuted and many have denied the faith and become treacherous. “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.” Matthew 24:9-13 Now concerning the term “this generation”, most seem to want to understand this as some set time period in the way we use the word generation, like
