For amounts up to CHF 25 I only enter my account and card number, not the PIN. What happens if my PostFinance Card is stolen and somebody uses it to make a purchase?
To prevent card abuse, the following criteria are checked: • Account and card number • Correct transmission of the right card number for the postal account • Blocking of the account or card number • Authorization of an amount of up to CHF 200 on that day (This limit relates only to purchases from online shops for amounts up to CHF 25) For all purchases made with the PostFinance Card following the simplified ID procedure,the purchaser has 30 days from the posting date of the account statement within which to contest debits. You can ask Account Support to block your account for e-payment debits madeusing the simplified ID procedure.
