Following completion of construction, who will be responsible for converting the surplus project land and old hospital site to parkland?
The State will be responsible for the reinstatement of these areas to Royal Park. The concept design for the reinstatement, which will incorporate a new ‘gateway’ to Royal Park, will be a collaborative effort involving and reflecting a range of stakeholders views and requirements including Melbourne City Council (as the future park manager) and the local community.
