Prior to the installation of ADONIS:CE, the database (where models will be stored) needs to be installed. It can be either MS SQL Server 2005 Express Edition (suggested for Vista) or MSDE (suggested for older operating systems). Both database installation packages are provided with your downloadable package (respectively in folders “MSDE” and “SQLExpress”). As a next step ADONIS:CE can then be installed. Simply click on the “setup.exe” from “setup” folder. More detailed info concerning the installation can be found in the “readme.txt” file. Please note that some firewalls (especially Norton Personal Firewall) may prevent ADONIS:CE from connecting to the database during installation. You can resolve this issue by either adding ADONIS:CE to the “white list” or deactivating firewall during installation.
