The FIPS 140-2 validation of the OpenSSL FIPS Object Module v1.1.1 was jointly sponsored by the HP Corporation (http://www.hp.com) and the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) program of the DoD Military Health System (http://www.tricare.osd.mil/dmlss/), in collaboration with the Open-Source Software Institute (http://oss-institute.org). Ben Laurie of OpenSSL (http://openssl.org/) developed the initial software modifications and Dr. Stephen Henson and Andy Polyakov made extensive subsequent contributions. DOMUS IT of Canada performed the validation testing. The FIPS Object Module v1.1.1 is compatible with OpenSSL v0.9.7, revisions 0.9.7m and above.
