Yes, E-Disk® FC drives can auto-negotiate at either 1 or 2 Gbps transfer rates. The performance rate of the drive would depend on the controller, cable and specification of the system used. For example, if the controller is using 1 Gbps, then the E-Disk® drive will perform at 1 Gbps even if the E-Disk® drive already features the 2 Gbps interface. It is also necessary that controllers, cables and PC servers used can support both 1 and 2 Gbps FC interface.
