Question: I want to use Feurio!® to create MP3 files but in the format selection only “Wave” can be selected. Answer: To CREATE mp3 files you need an mp3-Codec which is also capable of CREATING mp3 files! The version of mp3-Codecs”normally” available only allows mp3 files to be decompressed. To find out if your Codec makes it possible to create mp3 files, in the menu “Program” call up the entry “Program parameters” and there call up the index card “MP3 settings”. Have a look at the text “Selected Codec” and “Capabilities”. If e.g. like on the Fraunhofer Codec it says “decode only”, the Codec is only capable of decompressing data. Alternatively you can also use the freely available Blade-Encoder. To do so, in the menu “Program” call up the entry “Program parameters”, select the index card “MP3 settings” and there look under “Creating MP3 files” “About the BladeEncoder”.
