Feminine or girlie….would this attract men?
To be honest, Mel, I am not sure who you would attract in this get-up but I would definitely avoid testosterone-laced pubs! I would be very surprised if you didn’t have to deal with a good deal of discrminination but you are well within your rights to express yourself in whatever way you wish. One point, though – I was a little girl 40 years ago and the only time I ever found make-up and put it on I was rewarded with a good smack and arough face-washing session. Little girls had scrubbed faces and practical clothes – clearly a different world back then!
