The potential side effects of most combined pills are pretty much identical. Marvelon is ethinylestradiol, desogestrel whilst Microgynon is ethinylestradiol, levonorgestrel. As you can see the diffence between them is the progesterone, since they contain the same oestrogen. Unfortunately it is to some extent a case of trial and error.
