Federal pell grants help?
1. There is not a “magic number” to receive a Pell grant. This amount is different for everyone.. the easiest thing to do is fill out the form and see if you qualify. 2. Pell grants can cover tuition, books, fees, dorms, meal plans, and other expenses you incur at college. 3. To apply for the Pell go to http://fafsa.ed.gov You will need your income and your parents income information. Having your taxes done before hand is extremely helpful. 4. You do not have to pay back a Pell grant if you don’t finish your degree. But you might if you drop out in the middle of a semester. 5. You are approved for an academic year at at time… usually your school gets the money once a semester in the fall and the spring. 6. There are lots of reasons people don’t get Pell grants. Make to much money, parents make too much money, defaulted on previous student loans, not us citizen or eligible non citizen, attending a school not allowed to accept Pell grant
