Fawning Over Tammy Faye: What About the Victims of Jim & Tammy Faye Bakker?

Stories about her life and death have been all over the news, with most editors and reporters choosing to focus on her “heroic” battle with cancer rather than any of the things which made her originally famous: scandal, corruption, and personal immorality while proclaiming to provide a source of positive, objective morality. That Tammy Faye is dead is certainly a tragedy, but is it any more of a tragedy than any other death or any of the many deaths that occur every day after people lose their battle with cancer?
