Fan check on facebook – what does it do?
Fan Check does not track profile visits. It looks at who interacts with you the most through messages, wall posts, comments, etc. and ranks them based on the number of interactions. Don’t let people fool you in to thinking it’s a virus, either. It’s not possible first of all (the app doesn’t ask you to download anything or run any web content such as videos – since viruses are programs they have to be ran to work, either by being executed directly through a download or indirectly through web content such as videos, scripts, flash, etc.) and second none of the security sites have indicated that it is viral, but they have indicated that searching on the internet for “fan check virus” will expose you to a bunch of bogus sites that can infect you with very real viruses.
