The majority of the information comes directly from the tax form (ask your mom for a copy of her taxes to help you fill in the FAFSA). They are suppose to match up perfectly. If she didn’t file taxes, that is what you select early on in the FAFSA application. They want the most recent tax year, not previous years.If the school has questions, they will ask for verification.
