RUMOR. The fact is that the policy proposal that will be voted on by parents was developed by a Uniform Committee comprised of teachers, parents and students. Before the committee was formed earlier this fall, the School Improvement Team supported further exploration of the issue and the staff overwhelmingly supported further exploration of the issue and a vote in the community. The initial suggestion for uniforms was made from members in the community and brought forth to the School Improvement Team by an individual who actually had no position on the issue at that time. One of the purposes of the School Improvement Team is to explore ideas and suggestions from staff, administrators, community and parents.
