Explain “Where is Oklahoma Sooners ranked in the ap college football poll?
College football had big surprise in store for those of you that believe the hype machine and the fairy tale that “experts” are able to predict who the best teams in the country are before the first down of the season is ever played. Last night number three Oklahoma, a twenty three point favorite over number twenty BYU, lost 14-13 to the Cougar’s. BYU quarterback Max Hall hooked up with McKay Jacobson for the go ahead score with 3:03 left in the fourth quarter to put the Cougars ahead for good. The score followed a sixteen play, seventy eight yard drive in which BYU converted a critical fourth and four by lining up quickly, snapping the ball quickly and completing a pop pass to the tight end. Oklahoma missed a last second 54 yard field goal to seal the deal. The score to this game could have been skewed more heavily in the Cougar’s direction.
