Explain the Diesel recovered in the process and its market values?
The diesel components found in waste oils come from entrained diesel vapors which condense in the oil during engine usage and lubrication. In most waste oil streams, the diesel components average approximately 6-8%. The diesel recovered in Interline’s process is a heavy diesel with a specification similar to No. 4 distillates it can be used as lubricating spindle oil (SN80) or it can be successfully sold as a high quality fuel for burning. The product can be burned as fuel for the refinery but generally it has a higher value than the natural gas it replaces and thus it is usually sold as a finished product.
