Expand/collapse How does the rate holiday L&I adopted differ from what it proposed late last year?
At public hearings and in written testimony, concern was expressed that the rate holiday, as proposed, would reduce the income some retrospective rating groups receive to administer their programs. One of the ways retro groups spend that money is on workplace-safety programs for their members. In response to their concerns, we made some adjustments so that those programs wouldn’t be negatively impacted by the rate holiday.
