Exactly what type of finish does Crown Point use?

While our large variety of rich stains or authentic milk paint gives you the color you desire, the clearcoat offers extremely durable protection that is a result of our multi-step process. Whether stain or paint, all pieces are coated with our catalyzed varnish sealer, baked in our oven (at 130˚) for twenty minutes, sanded with an ultrafine grit sandpaper, and rubbed with a tack cloth (picking up those annoying bits of dust!). The pieces are then topcoated with another catalyzed varnish, and baked once again for twenty minutes at 130˚. This final baking causes the critical cross-linking to occur between the two coats, yielding our famous finish. This is a process that cannot be duplicated on any jobsite!
