Exactly how does a Tesco Home Delivery Grocery shop work?
If Tesco accepted your card and put through the transaction straight away, that order would have been paid for on the spot. Sounds like they only put through the debit when the items go through their checkout, say Sunday morning prior to delivery. But I think you are saying that you were billed for ‘£60 Tesco mobile top ups, two very large domino pizza deliveries, itunes vouchers, ringtones and £174 stay in a Travelodge’ that you did not order – in other words, that someone else got hold of your details first and used your card to pay for their purchases. If I have guessed right, take it up with Tesco. And I’m sure your bank could confirm where these charges were made. If inside Tesco, the staff there had access to your details ….. It is certainly worth following up.
