Everything i need to know to become a sculptor?
I would not advise learning the art within a uni. In my experience colleges and uni’s are pretty damn awful at giving you the skills you need. I would advise you to seek a sculptor and get them to give you lessons in the art……..as work experience or whatever. The subjective lackadaisical nature of modern sculpture is somewhat concerning, so I would take time in choosing a good artist. You can earn from 1.00 pound an hour to 1,000 pound an hour dependent on good marketing and sound common sense. I would start by looking at pre-historic art forms………..the simplification and stylisation within the forms will help you to realise the nature of sculpture and will give you a good base.
