A. The rate-based simulation of counter objects in MIMIC is governed by 2 variables: rate (“r”) and time-unit (“tu”). Both together determine the actual rate of the counter, eg. r=10, tu=60 would increment a counter at a rate of 10 per minute. When you configure a counter object rate, make sure you set the desired time-unit (“tu”) variable for that object.
