ERSA Thunder 380 last?
There is ongoing discussion on several internet fora on this very question. I myself have posted about a range rental Thunder 380 with perhaps 4,000 to 5,000 rounds through it, along with photographs of the wear involved. Stephen A. Camp at one point posted that his Thunder 380 had under 3,000 rounds through it “without any failures”. Several other owners have experienced no failures beyond the 1,500 round mark. Based on observable wear, most private ‘guesstimates’ on the Thunder 380’s ultimate lifespan fall between 5,000 and 12,000 rounds. Again, these are only best-guesses based on observations of wear, and it’s quite possible the Thunder 380 can last very, very much longer. Is .380 ACP sufficient for personal self defense?
