Error messages regarding invalid or not attached security device?
In most instances this means that the dongle is not attached or fully attached to the parallel port on the back of you computer. If you are sure that it is attached you may need to install or reinstall the security drivers. To reinstall the drivers you do not need the installation CD. Using Explorer or My Computer go to the drive that contains the installation of N4W. In the x:\mscn4w40 or x:\mscn4w45 folder you should find another folder called Rainbow. In the Rainbow folder you will find two folders, \win_9x and \win_nt. The \win_9x is for Windows95 and Windows98. If you have one of these operating systems, enter the folder and double click or execute the Sentw9x.exe. For WindowsNT or Windows2000 you will want to go to the \win_nt folder and execute the SetupX86.exe. From both of these executables the Rainbow Technologies Sentinel menu will appear.
