Enlarged prostate can create problems in urinary flow, bladder emptying, sleeping habits, prostate function. So it is important that one must take the right supplements containing beta sitosterol which can better the prostate functioning.

If it’s just a suspected enlargement, you can have it confirmed with your doctor. I wouldn’t recommend taking medication without a confirmation. But supplements that contain beta-sitosterol can be very helpful. You might find reading super beta prostate supplement reviews useful. Since it is natural, the side-effects are minimal if any.

Depends a little on the patients age. Use of Hytrin or Cardura is sometimes helpful by changing the tone of the outlet muscle. There is a drug called Proscar;but, I don’t think it is very helpful. Some patients tell me that saw palmetto(available in health stores) is helpful. If none of these works, surgery is the last option. Back to Drug InfoNet Home Page. Back to Doctor FAQ main page.
