Employees at the Department of Corrections have a tough job. How will the furlough affect employee morale?
Employees at the Department of Corrections work hard and put their lives on the line every day. They share a commitment and sense of responsibility to their chosen profession and also understand that the County and the nation are experiencing economic stress. The Director and Command staff has met with employees to discuss the plan and explain the options available to them. Employees have also been encouraged to take advantage of the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) which offers credit/debt services, financial planning and constructive ways to work through stress and anxiety. In addition, the Department will continue to demonstrate its appreciation for exemplary performance by outstanding employees.
