Emergency unemployment benefits were extended another 13 weeks, does this mean my balance gets raised?

Keep applying every-other-week. If you run out before the 13 weeks take effect (i.e. April 18) and you do not continue to claim then it seems likely you’ll have to try to call in or wait for them to call you. I was fortunate to get a hold of someone at coworkforce early March who said keep claiming, even though my unemployment had run out. Basically, it seems a good idea to keep claiming because if you do not then you are no longer part of the stats they report, even though you are still unemployed & looking! (numbers game). Anyways, based on what I’ve gathered I think your balance will be adjusted to allow for the 13 additional weeks. I’ve read mixed information if it’ll be same calculation as the regular unemployment or a reduced balance. I guess all we can do is see what happens or try to reach unemployment reps (but that is so hard to do – 2.25hr wait when I was lucky enough to get through that one time & still they had no answers. Wow.
