I was overseas when I received a Red Cross message… It only took about 6 hours for all the paperwork to filter down to me, and for me to find out what happened… The unit is supposed to start the leave paperwork once they receive the Red Cross message… So patience is the key… It took less than 3 hours for them to get my leave paperwork done, get my plane tickets, and get me to the airport… Then of course it was a long flight from Korea to Michigan…. It took about 24-36 hours to get me home… Your Welcome, and good luck….
