Emails are being blocked or quarantined due to Intent Analysis, what can be done?
The administrator can exempt URL’s that have been blocked by Barracuda if they consider the URL to be legitimate for business purposes for all of the University community, contact the ITS Service Desk to request exemption. We are finding that many organisations are including URL’s in their HTML email footers that are being incorrectly blocked. All spam messages have an “intent” – which is to get a user to reply to an email, visit a Web site or call a phone number. Intent analysis involves researching email addresses, Web links and phone numbers embedded in email messages to determine whether they are associated with legitimate entities.
