EJB CMP: Yes, we offer the O/R mapping editors and you can check the consistency mapping check between the entity bean attributes and the table definition in the Java Dictionary. Also available are editors for editing remaining deployment descriptors of enterprise beans as well as wizards generating all the necessary components of an entity bean. JDO: there are no dedicated design time tools in SAP Web AS 6.40. You implement your JDO components in the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio and then you can check the mapping consistency with the Java Dictionary tables. Subsequently you deploy the JDO application to the target a server directly from within the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio. The chapter “Getting Started with JDO” in the development manual provides a quick introduction to JDO programming with SAP Web AS 6.40.
