Effective Teaching Strategies – What Are Some?
Teachers are always trying ways to engage their students, with considerations of attention spans, interests, creativity, use of media, differing learning styles and the range of levels. A difficult task even for the more experienced educator. The use of co-operative group strategies have proven to be effective in this area. Whilst they can be used in conjunction with independent activities, the number of students engaged in their learning increases when cooperative strategies are used. Roles can be divided up into groups so that responsibilities are shared. There can be support for those students who are not as confident.
