A. Editor may go bezerk in a number of ways and in 99% of the cases it’s all mikros~1 fault . The system file riched20.dll which is used internally for the editing functions comes in two varieties. You can easily test which version you have by going to your windows system (or system32) folder and checking this file’s properties (right-click etc.). If you have version 3 then all should be ok, however if you have any previous version (richedit v2, i.e. 5.0.xxx), then congratulations, you’ve just discovered the source of your problems! To establish order, you just need to find a copy of the newer riched20.dll v3.0 (or higher) and overwrite the old buggy version. Unfortunately, this file is not an official “redistributable”, so I couldn’t offer it for download from this website. Still, I bet that your best mate will already have it on his/her computer; version 2.0 is nearly a relic nowadays.
