Earth seems an interesting method of mass-wall construction. Is it possible or practical to do-it-yourself (with extra hands) or is it only feasible with machinery and a professional crew?
top Do you mean solo, without machinery? I guess so, since that is how it was done in “the old days”. Obviously, with a crew and all the modern whizz-bang machinery it will be SIGNIFICANTLY faster. My suggestion regarding crew is to get one experienced person to act as a foreman under your command. He can train the rest pretty quickly. Another good idea is to offer a day’s free work to someone building somewhere so you can experience what it is like. Doing that was a real eye-opener for me.
