• Before conducting the interview, familiarise yourself with the tasks, the wording to be used, appropriate starting points for students, the possible responses students might give and the different pathways that can be taken after each task. • Practise recording student responses using either the interview record sheet or the electronic version. • Prepare and arrange the relevant materials prior to conducting an interview. For example photocopying cards and shapes, coloring the squares on the number charts, cutting candles, and preparing the straw, string, paper clips and streamers for the length tasks.
